The Mediacurrent QA Team is passionate about ensuring quality for the clients that trust us to take their business to the next level. We work with multiple exciting clients/agency environments!

Mediacurrent is looking for a QA Analyst like yourself to join our team!

  • You like to ensure that all deliverables meet customer specifications.
  • You have experience testing desktop browser compatibility and mobile issues.
  • You can provide succinct feedback to prevent defect recurrence and quality problems
  • You can use metrics and testing experience to determine the root cause of quality issues.
  • You have the knowledge in process improvement that adheres to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Creates testing strategies and test plans
  • Utilizes the following testing methods
    • Exploratory
    • Verification/Validation
    • Regression
  • Tests Stories/Tasks assigned to QA via JIRA
  • Create detailed bug reports and inform Project Managers or Developers of issues
  • Retests bugs/stories/tasks after they have been returned by the development team
  • Stays up to date on the latest security, automation, and testing best practices
  • Has experience testing in a CMS environment. Preferably Wordpress or Drupal
  • Can manage multiple projects split across several development teams
  • Able to work within an Agile or Waterfall structure
  • Communicate effectively with developers, project manager and other required parties of any status of projects
  • Communicate with client or sales department with any questions regarding QA



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years QA experience 
  • Experience working within a digital agency style environment.
  • Work on multiple projects, teams and methodologies at the same time.
  • Experience with Drupal strongly preferred
  • Disciplined in working remotely in a telecommute environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Contribute to the QA community with blogs or professional organizations
  • Ability to use/manage Virtual Machine testing environments
  • Ability to understand SOW requirements and create test plans accordingly
  • Automation experience for Front End, Functional and Framework
  • Experience in identifying possible UX issues
  • Multi-desktop and Mobile platform methodologies
  • Windows, macOS, iOS, Android
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies



  • Expertise in database testing in the Apache Linux MySQL PHP Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, running queries, executing code and loading test data
  • Familiar with Telerik Test Studio
  • Familiar with BackstopJS
  • Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications and verbal communications
  • Effectively liaison with development, sales, marketing, project management, and clients
  • Automation experience for frontend,  functional, and frameworks
  • Mobile testing methodologies using devices and virtual environment
  • Working knowledge of PHP
  • Understanding of CMS software like Drupal 
  • Experience and the discipline to be able to telecommute 
  • Contribute to QA community such as blogs or professional organizations 
  • Able to write feature test cases in Gherkin format
  • Knowledge of test case management tool such as TestRail
  • Usability testing experience
  • Ability to work with clients on UAT testing

The job will be performed from any location that offers an Internet connection. Due to the nature of the professional services business model, the position may occasionally require more hours of work per day than the typical 8 hour day.
