The role of Sales Operations analyst also provides the opportunity to communicate with partners and clients in person, through email, and over the phone to create and build relationships.

Mediacurrent is a digital agency that has a specialized focus and world-class reputation in Drupal, an open-source enterprise content management system (CMS) that makes it easy for globally-recognized brands, such as The Weather Channel and Habitat for Humanity, to personalize the digital experience and improve consumer engagement through their Websites, Mobile and Social channels.  We will provide the tools, systems and support structure required to advance your career in a fast-growing industry and profession.

The successful candidate will have solid analytical, organizational, oral and written communication skills, and enjoy taking initiative in a fast-paced work environment. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Mediacurrent’s service offerings, customer personas, and competitive positioning in the marketplace
  • Proactively collaborate with department leaders across Digital Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Business Operations to plan, further develop and ensure the successful execution of Mediacurrent’s sales process
  • Identify target accounts for the Sales team based on Mediacurrent’s customer profile, portfolio and reputation in the industry
  • Research, identify and gain an understanding of these target account’s to help shape Mediacurrent’s messaging and approach to solving their problems and improving their digital strategy
  • Provide account mapping to identify relevant connection points between Mediacurrent and the buyer personas within the target account
  • Utilize our sales tools and market intelligence to develop a communications cadence for connecting with these buyer personas
  • Prepare and track weekly sales and marketing productivity reporting - draw insights from these reports to identify trends and their impact on the Sales plan
  • Utilize our sales technology stack (Salesforce, Pardot, LinkedIn) to pre-qualify website visitors and other site usage data
  • Collaborate with the sales, strategy, design and development teams to prepare winning proposals and sales support materials
  • Build and maintain processes in support of our Proposal calendar and other related prospecting activities - schedule meetings and manage tasks as it relates to communicating with customers, prospects and key contacts
  • Respond to inquiries from Mediacurrent’s Customer Success and Account Management team with respect to sales resources, case studies and best practices
  • Provided needed assistance for the sales team throughout the sales cycle, helping troubleshoot issues as they arise.   
  • Support Sales with account planning and maintaining our Salesforce database with accurate account assignments and contract data.
  • Keep a running competitive analysis of Mediacurrent against our primary competitors
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outside channel partners to bring a higher level of visibility to Mediacurrent in the Drupal and Digital Strategy ecosystem
  • Prepare and monitor performance and ROI of conferences and marketing campaigns
  • Travel to attend tradeshows, conferences, and events that provide promotion opportunities
  • Use of CRM and related tools to maintain accurate activity, contact, and account information


Required knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Desire to work in a collaborative, team environment
  • Goal-oriented, ability to hold oneself accountable to goals
  • 4-year degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing related major
  • 2+ years of experience in similar role
  • Interest and enthusiasm for contributing to the Sales process and growing the business
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal team members and external partners involved in our Sales plan
  • Interest and enthusiasm for data capture, manipulation and analysis
  • Ability to analyze, integrate and interpret information from multiple sources
  • Proficient in Excel/Google sheets
  • Advanced LinkedIn skills
  • Advanced knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently while managing reporting requests from multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated track record of process improvement and effective time and project management

Valued knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Salesforce experience with respect to activity tracking and reporting is a big plus
  • Working knowledge of Marketing Automation, Email marketing
  • Experience in working for a professional services and/or digital agency is beneficial
  • Strong sales business acumen and ability to identify gaps and inefficiencies in the sales process
