We are currently seeking a highly motivated, hands-on and talented Director of Marketing. This key role will drive and implement all marketing activities to ensure on-brand positioning and awareness and all aspects of the marketing mix, inbound and outbound, including: brand management, lead generation, content marketing, sales enablement, public relations, partner & channel marketing, digital marketing, creative services, customer communications, event marketing/tradeshows and social media.

You will be well supported by existing processes, people, and tools (we were the #1 SMB in the world for our use of Salesforce in 2014), while having the ability to influence and inject your own perspective and ideas. We are looking for someone to help take us to that proverbial "next level" when it comes to advanced marketing techniques.  You will have an opportunity to challenge and stretch your mind on a daily basis.  This position will be based on-site at our Alpharetta, GA corporate office.


Position Responsibilities:  

  • Drive the strategic vision and goals for the Marketing department, team members and Mediacurrent’s entire team including meeting and exceeding Quarterly and annual KPIs
  • Own all branding and positioning efforts across digital marketing mediums including, Mediacurrent’s presence on partner and public marketplace sites (i.e. campaigns, public relations, content, trade shows, events, SEO, and speaking engagements
  • Lead overall demand generation planning efforts including: helping to form overall strategy, producing new and nurtured lead generation goals and forecasts, setting the budget spend, and leveraging CRM and Marketing Automation systems
  • Oversee all content strategy and creation from Mediacurrent including: case studies, website copy, white papers, videos, print material, press releases, and all public relationship efforts
  • Position Drupal and digital service offerings in the market for success through multiple channels
  • Create, direct, and manage tactical execution of external marketing plans.  Programs could include conferences, thought-ware (whitepapers, by-line articles, etc), podcasts, webcasts, speaking opportunities, media and analyst relations
  • Build, coach, and mentor the marketing team to become the best in the industry, inspiring the digital marketing team to develop digital strategies and targeted multi-channel marketing programs for our clients that help build profitable, long-term relationships
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and deliver reporting weekly, with summary reports quarterly and annually to the entire company
  • Assist in forming partnerships and alliances with other complementary service providers
  • Communicate with senior leadership on an ongoing basis regarding new and nurtured lead performance results, current initiatives, and course corrections being taken
  • Direct event planning initiatives like industry conferences, trade shows and company sponsored events (Business Summit, Roundtables) and webinars
  • Coordinate all supporting resources including writers, graphic designers and related knowledge management and/or web resources.
  • Develop and manage marketing budget, incorporating measurable ROI to the annual spend

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Minimum 7 years marketing experience within an environment that did business-to-business selling.
  • 5+ years leading a Marketing function and managing teams
  • Proven track record in defining and delivering business growth through marketing in growing, dynamic, B2B companies
  • Hands-on experience with a marketing automation tool such as Pardot (preferred), Silverpop, Eloqua, Marketo or other ESPs (email service providers), along with campaign management tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tool.
  • 7 plus years of technology marketing experience
  • Previous experience work at a web/marketing/design/ad agency (knowledge of Drupal a plus)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid technical acumen and familiarity with the Adobe Suite (i.e. Photoshop); ability to produce/edit video a plus.

  • Ability to travel (10%)

Education or Certifications required:  

BS/BA in Marketing or related field or equivalent professional experience
